Honeymoon to Hawaii!

After Christmas, we went on a belated honeymoon to Hawaii for seven days. We enjoyed every moment we had there, including snorkling, playing in the waves at the beaches, the Polynesean Cultural Center (pictured here), visiting the Arizona Memorial, and wandering through Waimea Valley. While we enjoyed eighty degree weather there, we were told it was snowing at home in Rexburg! It was a perfect time to escape, and so difficult to return to reality when it was all finished.
Thank you to Grandmother Hickman, who gave this priceless gift to us! We made memories in Hawaii that we will cherish forever. We love you, Grandmother. Posted by Picasa

Andrew the Pineapple

We stopped by the Dole plantation on Thursday to enjoy pineapple ice cream and other fun activities there. When Andrew saw this photo opportunity, he couldn't resist! We know this is the kind of thing that would make his mother shake her head and laugh. Typical Corndog. Posted by Picasa

Goat Island

One of the highlights of our trip was our hike to Goat Island, off the north shore of Oahu. There was a reef that connected the Oahu shore to Goat Island--so we walked there! While on the little Island, we were impressed with the large winter waves that crashed onto shore. Posted by Picasa

East Shore Sunset

On our last day in Hawaii, we enjoyed the remaining minutes of daylight by sitting on a beach on the southeast shore of Oahu. The sunset was so beautiful! As a sailboat passed by, we captured the moment here. Andrew thinks this picture should be given a "photo of the year" award. Posted by Picasa

Graduation!

On December 20, at long last, Tiffany Graduated from BYU-Idaho! On that day, we were excited to celebrate not only a great completion, but a new beginning, too! Tiffany graduated with a job to teach second grade just ten minutes north-east of Rexburg, in Sugar City. A lot of our family traveled to Rexburg to join our celebrations: Tiffany's parents, her youngest two brothers, Kyle and Devin, Grandpa and Grandma Macfarlane, and Tiff's cousins, Levi and Brittany. We were so grateful to have so many of our loved ones together on such a happy day. Posted by Picasa
